Strengthen a Family One at a Time

All children benefit from early education, but for children facing economic and social challenges, it can be especially transformative. Yet those who stand to gain the most often have the least access to these opportunities. According to The First Five Years Fund, children who participate in early education programs are 29% more likely to graduate from high school, 70% less likely to be arrested for a violent crime before age 18 and earn 33% higher average salaries. When early learning is paired with hands-on parent coaching and skill-building, the positive impact extends beyond the child to strengthen the entire family.

Padres Unidos program delivery aspects:

Early Education Programs:

Playing with Mommy: By learning side by side, parents and children ages 0 to 3 build the foundation for future academic success. Parents receive hands-on coaching and practical strategies to become confident partners in their child’s learning journey.

School Readiness / Parents as Teachers: Our dual-generation approach prepares children and parents for success. Children build early literacy, math, science, art, and social-emotional skills essential for school readiness, while parents participate in evidence-based parenting education that equips them with the knowledge, confidence, and tools to support learning at home.

Prenatal & Postnatal Education: Welcoming a new baby is an exciting journey, and our programs help families feel prepared every step of the way. Parents learn about pregnancy, childbirth, newborn care, and infant development while receiving the guidance and support needed to navigate the challenges and joys of the first year with confidence. Along the way, families build culturally responsive support networks that foster connection, learning, and long-term success.

Padres Unidos Early Success Initiatives

The first five years of a child’s life are filled with remarkable milestones, beginning with a healthy pregnancy and continuing through early language development, social-emotional growth, school readiness, and beyond. At Padres Unidos, we believe every family has unique strengths that contribute to a child’s success. By fostering parent leadership, promoting positive parenting practices, and connecting families to supportive resources, we help parents confidently guide their children through each developmental stage and celebrate every achievement along the way.
